To rename the ‘Recycle Bin’ on Windows Vista we have too again go to same registry editor and have to navigate some differnet key from which we done in Windows XP. For that

Steps:

* Go to Run
* Type ‘Regedit.exe’ and press enter
* Navigate the following key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \         Explorer \CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

* Double-click (’default’) (on right hand side)
* Replace the existing text (”Recycle Bin”) with your desired text
* Exit the Registry Editor.

Rename “Recycle Bin” On Windows XP

“Recycle Bin” icon cannot be renamed through the general method like rightclick on the icon then rename it.

For Renaming the “Recycle Bin” we have to go through the REGEDIT(Registry)

Steps:

  • Go to Run(Go to Start there you find Run)
  • Type ‘Regedit’ and press enter
  • Then trace the key

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

  • Change the name “Recycle Bin” to whatever you want (don’t type any quotes)
  • Exit the Registry Editor.

Export your Outlook address book

Are you really looking for some way or tip to export your Outlook address book into another application ? Microsoft Outlook 97 and Outlook 98 doesn’t comes with a method to export the address book to another application if you want to - but if you are using Outlook Express 4.x - here’s what you have to do :

  • Open Outlook Express 4.x (if you don’t already have it, install Explorer 4.x full version)
  • Select “File | Import | Address Book…” from the main menu
  • Select “Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book”
  • Click “Import” and click “Close” once the importing is finished To export the address book:
  • Select “File | Export | Address Book…” from the main menu
  • Select “Text File (Comma Separated Values)”
  • Click “Export”
  • Type a file name in the “Save exported file as” input box.
    For example type, “C:\OutlookAd.CSV”
  • Click “Next”
  • Optionally select the fields you wish to export and click “Finish”
  • Click “Close” once the exporting is completed

Now you are ready to import the exported Outlook address book into the program where you were trying to export to.CSV text files are somethign which are supported by almost all programs with the abolity to import information from external programs.

Hide ‘User Accounts’ From Others

Steps to Follow:

1. Go to Start and then on Run

2. Type GPEDIT.MSC

3. Now open the path

a. Click on ‘User Configuration’ (On left hand side)

b. Double Click ‘Admin Templates’ (On right hand side)

c. Now Double Click ‘Control Panel’

d. Double Click “Hide specified Control Panel applets”

A pop up box will open

4. Now put a dot in ‘enabled’, then click on ‘Show’ Button

5. Click on Add button,

6. Type “nusrmgt.cpl” into the add box.
