Here are some things you can do in Google Chrome, the minimalistic browser launched on 2nd Sep’08 .

 

 

1. You can create desktop and Start menu shortcuts to web applications such as yahoo.com - browse to Yahoo.com and then select Create application shortcuts . . . you can do this from the Page Control menu ( you can find it in the top-right corner of your browser - it looks like a page with the corner folded over ) . Now you can choose where you want to place your shortcut.This works for Google apps as well such as Calendar,Site and other services such as Windows Live Hotmail.

 

2. Undo closing a tab: press Ctrl+Shift+T or open a new tab and check the “Recently closed tabs” section.

 

3. Control + Shift + N opens an ‘incognito’ window - sites you view in this window won’t appear in your history and cookies served by sites in this window will be deleted when the window is closed.

 

4. Focus on the default search option in the address bar: type ? before entering your query.

 

5. You can open a link in an incognito window by right-clicking the link and selecting Open link in incognito window.

 

6. You can even Perform simple calculations and unit conversions using Google Calculator by simply typing the expression in Google Chrome’s address bar .

 

7. If you Press Alt + Home - This will load Google Chrome home page.

 

8. Control + T opens a new tab.( Same as you do this in FireFox ) but in Chrome You can drag tabs around to change their order or drag a tab out of the window into its own window.( You can’t do something like this into FireFox ) 

 

9. Undo closing a tab: press Ctrl+Shift+T or open a new tab and check the “Recently closed tabs” section.

 

10. Control + Tab lets you cycle through your open tabs in order.

 

11. Control + Shift + Tab cycles through your tabs in the opposite order.

 

11. Do you want Google Chrome without Google’s branding and with an open source license (BSD license)? Check Chromium, the open source project created for Google Chrome. You can install the latest snapshots for Windows or download the code and build it in Windows, Mac, Linux.

 

12. Control +B hides the Google Chrome bookmarks bar. Press Control + B to bring it back again.

 

13. Control + H is a faster way to bring up the History page.
